How it started?
The architectKNOW platform was first promoted among architectural students and educators during the PAM Academic Discourse 2023, as part of educational series by PAM Education Committee, Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM).
Towards the end of the talk entitled Knowledge Management Architecture in Architectural Education, the speaker, Ts. Idris invited the audience to participate in architectKNOW; a collaborative project development of an intuitive knowledge base application for architectural students, educators, practitioners and professionals.
The knowledge management (KM) initiative was then endorsed during the ACAE Pre-Roundtable Meeting chaired by ACAE Chairman, Adj. Prof. Ar. Adrianta Aziz on June 12, 2023. The members of the ARCASIA Committee on Architectural Education (ACAE) of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) would deliberate the details of the launching of architectKNOW in the upcoming ACAE Roundtable Meeting in Kuala Lumpur in July 2023.
